Creating Digital Inclusion

‘Digital Poverty’ – the uneven distribution of access to technology, skills and the opportunities they represent – is a major blight on contemporary societies.

As the world becomes ever more digital, chronic gaps between digital ‘haves’ and have-nots’ are compounding existing inequalities and risk creating a two-tier society.

But solving this is extremely complex, and requires collaboration from the public and private sectors, based on a nuanced understanding of the social, cultural, psychological and technological dimensions of this complex area.

Project UnBound are working with an exciting coalition of Tech Companies, Academia and the Public Sector to understand what it would take to make Ireland a pilot case for what a progressive, digitally inclusive nation could look like.
